This privacy policy explains what data the DJ Perry Radio app collects, why, and how it is handled. In short: the app does not collect or transmit any personal data on its own. Any information described below either stays on your device or is sent only to the specific third-party service needed to provide the feature you are using.

Who operates this app

Data the app does not collect

The app has no account system, no sign-in, and no user profile. It does not use advertising SDKs, analytics/tracking SDKs, or any form of behavioral tracking. No personal data (name, email, location, device identifiers, usage history) is collected or transmitted by the app.

Data stored only on your device

• Custom station: if you add your own radio stream (name and URL), it is saved only in the app's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us or to any third party, and is removed if you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
• App preferences: small settings such as whether you've already seen the visualizer permission explanation are stored locally the same way.

Microphone / audio-capture permission

The app can request Android's audio-capture permission solely to power the on-screen live visualizer, which analyzes the frequency spectrum of the audio the app itself is currently playing. This analysis happens entirely on your device, in memory, and is discarded immediately. No audio is ever recorded to a file, stored, or transmitted anywhere. You can decline this permission at any time and the app continues to work normally, just without the visualizer animation.

Internet access and third-party services

The app needs an internet connection to play radio and show optional schedule/search information. Depending on what you do in the app, it connects to:

• Streaming servers for DJ Perry Radio, Pulse 107, and The Strobe Radio, to play the live audio stream you selected.
• A public Google Calendar feed maintained by the station operator, to show the optional program schedule and upcoming live events. This is read-only; nothing from your device is sent to it beyond a standard network request.
• radio-browser.info, a free public radio station directory, only when you actively use the "Find a station" search to add your own custom stream. Your search text is sent to their service to return matching stations; see radio-browser.info for their own privacy practices.

These connections are standard network requests (comparable to loading a web page) and do not include any personal data about you beyond what's technically necessary to make the request (such as your IP address, which is inherent to any internet connection and is not logged or used by us).

Notifications

The app shows a standard playback-control notification (play/pause/skip) while a station is playing, using Android's notification system. This is used only for playback controls, never for marketing, alerts, or tracking.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date.
